Our Programs

As a newly established foundation, our programs are being thoughtfully designed to develop leaders, strengthen families, and renew the city of Toledo. Help us bring them to life.

Pillar 01

Scholarships

Purpose

To remove financial barriers and reward academic excellence among Toledo’s emerging scholars.

Description

Our scholarship program is currently in development. Once launched, the Foundation will award merit- and need-based scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduates from the Toledo area. Recipients will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, character, leadership, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Anticipated Impact

Our goal is to award our first scholarships within the Foundation’s inaugural year. Donor support will directly determine the number and size of awards we are able to offer.

Help open doors for future leaders through scholarship support.

Pillar 02

Mentorship

Purpose

To surround young men and women with disciplined, accomplished mentors who model leadership and service.

Description

We are designing a mentorship initiative inspired by the Guide Right and Kappa League traditions of Kappa Alpha Psi. The program will pair middle school and high school students with professionals from medicine, law, education, business, and the trades through monthly meetings, college exposure, life skills, and one-on-one mentorship.

Anticipated Impact

We aim to recruit our first cohort of mentors and youth participants in the year ahead. Volunteers and partner organizations are needed to bring the program to life.

Share your time, experience, and guidance with the next generation.

Pillar 03

Community Initiatives

Purpose

To invest directly in the well-being, dignity, and resilience of Toledo neighborhoods.

Description

Our community initiatives are being planned in partnership with local schools, faith communities, and nonprofits. Anticipated projects include a Day of Service, back-to-school supply drives, and holiday outreach — guided first and foremost by listening to the community.

Anticipated Impact

We are inviting community partners and volunteers to help us identify the needs that matter most and shape the projects we will launch first.

Partner with us to serve families, youth, and neighborhoods across Toledo.
